Soon the heat of summer will arrive but for now I’m set to enjoy the blanket of color bursting through the once frozen ground. And I’ll even share.
The photos featured in this post were all captured during a stroll along the Mon River Trail. This crushed stone trail follows the Mon River from Prickett’s Fort State Park all the way to Morgantown. This 18 mile trail is just one part of a series of trails meandering all the way to the Pennsylvania state line. At the southern end there are three parking lots, conveniently located at the Prickett’s Creek Visitor Center, trailside where it joins the MCtrail, and at the boat launch.
