Valentine's day has passed but that can't stop this little lady from boldly wearing her red dress. Happy as could be to be all dolled up, this sweetheart looks bound to be breaking some hearts in the future.

Golly Where Has the Time Gone?! - Children's Portraiture - ALee Photography - Fairmont, WV2/18/2017 For his birthday party last year, this fella had tractors everywhere. As you’ll gather from this image, his love of tractors and all things farming has not waned.
We started our time together with three of his favorite tractors, but soon after we began shooting he said two of them were tired and needed to rest. Let me tell you, watching him lovingly give them good night kisses and wishing them sweet dreams, melted my heart! While this post is a bit late in reaching the blog, the sweetness is too much not to share at least one image. Me oh my how did this little angel get to be six months old?! It seems like only yesterday we spent an afternoon together getting her first photos. Now here we are summer is gone, fall is closing, and this big girl is sitting up all on her own, grabbing those tootsies and doing as many push-ups as her arms will allow.
I can hardly wait for her next moment in the spotlight. It’s that time of year again. The days are getting shorter, temperatures are dropping, and soon it will be December. If you haven’t already, you may want to think about the cards you will send out to greet all your loved ones. What will it be this year, cardinals in snowy pines, angels on high, Santa in his sleigh? Why not an updated family photo?
Stop putting off that family photo and show the world how much your family has changed. Whether it be your first holiday season as a married couple, baby’s first, or it’s just been too long since the family and friends who live far and away have seen your family; give me a call and schedule a session before it’s too late. This year there are two special packages designed just for greeting cards, both of which include digital files. Yes, I said both specials include digital files for you to use in making a greeting card. A Lee Photography - Fairmont, WV
Children’s Portraiture This fella has been in and out of the studio over the past couple years. I love being able to photograph children as they grow and see them change from season to season, year to year. I particularly love when siblings come along. Even photographers like to compare and contrast photos of siblings. While this big boy recently hit the big T-W-O, he also got promoted to a big brother, a task he seems well matched to. He is clearly very proud and attentive to his little sister. They had a dual session (see previous blog post “Sweet Baby Girl”) leading to some fantastic photo memories. Take a look. A Lee Photography - Newborn Photographer - Fairmont, WV This sweet angel charmed my socks off during her session. So many smiles, coos and squeaks. Her very proud big brother even got in on the fun.
Miles for Missions 5K - Shinnston, WV - ALee Photography Sponsored by the Shinnston Area UMC Cooperative Parish and Modern Woodmen of America, the Miles for Missions 5K was a great way to kick off the holiday weekend. Seventy people participated in the run/walk event and 18 children ran in the Kids K. Funds raised benefit mission projects of the West Virginia Annual Conference. These projects provide food, clothing, and emergency assistance in the state. ALee Photography was on hand to photograph the event from registration to award presentation. A Lee Photography - Wedding Photographer - Fairmont, West Virginia I had the pleasure of heading “home” to photograph a wedding this past weekend.
Built in 1820, the beautifully restored Brick House Bed and Breakfast in Oakridge, Pennsylvania served as the venue. Preparations were done at the bed and breakfast with the ceremony conducted next to the pond, and reception following in the pavilion. The bride, Rebecca is the queen of crafty and a DIY extraordinaire, putting her touch on every detail. The bouquet, boutonnieres, napkin holders, centerpieces, banners, the invitations, and even her gown were all creations of her own hands. I am truly honored to have been entrusted with documenting Rebecca and Zach’s special day. Thank you to Rebecca and Zach for giving me the opportunity to share in your wedding day. I hope you enjoy this sneak peek of the day’s photos. I had the pleasure of photographing this "average" family recently. Okay, okay allow me to clarify; no family is average. Every family is unique.
What is average about this family? This is the first time they've had a family portrait taken since the addition of their youngest child. As families grow it becomes easier and easier to overlook portraits. As the children grow and as more children are added to the family; the number of obligations go up and the hours in the day drastically decline. If you haven't recently found the time to have a family portrait taken, please make a point to set aside the time. Whether you are taking the expression "cheaper by the dozen" to heart or your children have paws and fur...You have a family-capture it! A Lee Complimentary Maternity Session *When you book a newborn session* I am very excited to be offering complimentary maternity portrait sessions to those booking a newborn session with me. This offer is available for a limited time and subject to availability.
